Shingles are made with a fiberglass base bonded with resin and coated with asphalt for weatherproofing. When they are selected and installed correctly, they last about 30 years or more. Dark shingles absorb more heat, so we can install reflective composites to reduce it. Shingles are not ideal for low-slope or flat roofs, and we will tell you if your roof needs a different system.
